Sagaword

Summary

Sagaword does not require an account. We do not collect names, emails, contacts, photos, or microphone audio. All gameplay progress is stored on your device only. The only data that leaves your device goes to (a) ad networks to serve ads and (b) our story authoring service when you create a personalized story.

Data We Collect

• Advertising Identifier (IDFA on iOS): Collected only after you accept Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. Used by ad networks for ad personalization. You can opt out anytime in iOS Settings.
• Coarse location: Collected only after you grant location permission. Used (1) to serve more relevant ads and (2) for an in-app feature that prefills the story builder with nearby landmarks. Foreground only. Never stored on our servers.
• Story content you author: When you tap "Create your own", the genre, setting, protagonist, mood, twist, or free-text description you provide is sent to our story authoring service to generate the chapters. We do not retain this content beyond what is needed to produce your story.
• Device diagnostics: Model, OS version, language, timezone, and IP address are sent with each ad request to ad bidders. Standard for any app that shows ads.

Third-Party Services

Sagaword uses two ad networks for monetization:

• Nuviad (bid request endpoint): https://nuviad.com/privacy
• Google AdMob (fallback layer): https://policies.google.com/privacy

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. See Apple's privacy policy.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not require user accounts or registration
• We do not collect names, emails, contacts, photos, or microphone audio
• We do not have multiplayer or social features
• We do not track you across other apps or websites beyond the ad networks listed above
• We do not run third-party analytics, crash reporting, or attribution SDKs

Your Choices

• Deny App Tracking permission via iOS Settings, Sagaword, Allow Tracking. The app keeps working; ads become less personalized.
• Deny location permission via iOS Settings, Sagaword, Location. Ads still serve, just generically; the nearby-landmark prefill feature is disabled.
• Subscribe to Sagaword Pro or Pro+ to remove ads entirely.

Data Retention

Sagaword itself stores no personal data on remote servers. Game progress, purchased packs, settings, and your authored stories are saved locally on your device only. Uninstalling the app removes everything.

Story content sent to our authoring service is processed in memory to generate your story and is not retained.

Children's Privacy

This app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Sagaword is rated 4+ in the App Store but the ad networks integrated in the app are not designed for use by children under 13. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child, contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
