Trivia Stakes — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-28
This Privacy Policy explains what information Trivia Stakes (the "app", operated by TonTech) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to this policy.
1. Who we are
Trivia Stakes is a play-chip True/False trivia game published by TonTech. For privacy questions, contact us at the address in §8.
2. Accounts and how you sign in
- Anonymous by default. You can play without creating an account or providing your name, email, or phone number. The app signs you in with an anonymous account identified by a random id.
- Optional username. If you choose to appear on leaderboards, you may set a display username. It is shown publicly next to your scores. Don't use personal information you don't want shown.
3. Information we collect
- Gameplay data: sessions, answers, scores, streaks, leaderboard entries, per-topic stats, and achievements, tied to your anonymous account id.
- Community Topics content: if you create a custom topic, the topic prompt, title, description, and the generated questions you choose to share or publish are stored and shown to other players. See our Community Content Policy.
- Purchase / subscription state: which subscription or items you own, and whether a subscription is active, derived from Apple's receipt data. We do not receive or store your payment card details — Apple processes all payments.
- Device and usage data: device identifiers, app interactions, and diagnostics/crash data, used to operate, secure, and improve the app.
- Approximate location (free tier, for ads): coarse, ad-related location may be collected by our advertising partners to show relevant ads. We do not collect precise GPS location.
We do not knowingly collect your real name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location.
4. How we use information
- To run the game: start sessions, score rounds, rank leaderboards, track stats.
- To operate Community Topics: generate questions, moderate content before it is shown to others, and enforce reports/blocks.
- To process and validate subscriptions and in-app purchases.
- To show and measure advertising to players on the free tier.
- To diagnose crashes, prevent abuse/cheating, and improve the app.
5. Third-party services
We share the minimum data needed with service providers that process it on our behalf or under their own policies:
- Apple — in-app purchases, subscription receipts, and App Store services (Apple Privacy Policy).
- Supabase — our backend (authentication, topics, leaderboards, stats).
- OpenAI — generates and moderates Community Topic content you submit; topic text you share/publish is sent for generation and safety screening.
- Google AdMob and Nuviad — advertising on the free tier; these partners may collect device identifiers, approximate location, and app-interaction data to select and measure ads.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Advertising and your choices
Free-tier players see ads served by AdMob and Nuviad, which may use device identifiers and coarse location for ad targeting and measurement. You can limit ad tracking via your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and Apple Advertising). Subscribing to Stakes Plus or Stakes Pro removes ads.
7. Data retention and your rights
- We keep gameplay and account data while your account is active.
- Deletion: you can request deletion of your account and associated data using the in-app account-deletion option, or by contacting us (§8). Published Community Topics may be removed on request.
- Depending on where you live (e.g., EEA/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
8. Contact
For privacy questions or data requests, contact info@tontech.co.
9. Children
Trivia Stakes is rated 12+ and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, noted in the app.
